Reno Omokiri Calls For The Prosecution Of Nasir El Rufai After He Posted On Twitter Recently

Reno Omokiri has called upon the Attorney General Of The Federation to start implementing the latest policy which entails a prosecution for anyone caught using twitter. The call from Reno Omokiri came in some moments after the executive governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai shared a post on twitter.

It could be recalled that some days ago, the president of the country, Muhammadu Buhari indefinitely suspended the use of the micro-blogging platform, twitter, after his post was unruly deleted from the platform. The presidency accused the social media application of being a platform where Nigerians are fed with fake news and unfounded rumours. The president therefore, placed an indefinite suspension on the platform.

However, Nigerians have been able to maneuver their ways to the platform through the use of virtual private networks (VPN). Because of this, a recent policy and law was developed, which maintains the prosecution of anyone accessing twitter despite the means.

Reno Omokiri, aide to the former president took to his verified facebook handle about the latest defaulter of the national policy. According to Reno Omokiri, El-Rufai just tweeted some minutes ago and it is very necessary that the Attorney General Of The Federation should start the prosecution with him.
