Meanwhile Chelsea will kick off their UEFA Champions League trophy defense against Zenit. Chelsea have been drawn in Group H alongside Zenit, Juventus and Malmo. Recall Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the final last season.
The players were spotted at the Cobham training center this afternoon ahead of the game tomorrow. Romelu Lukaku, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Antiono Rudiger were pictured performing some running and shooting drills.
Thomas Tuchel has provided updates on injuries of N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic. Recall that the two missed Chelsea’s win over Aston Villa at the weekend through injury.
Tuchel has confirmed that Kante and Pulisic are unavailable for the Zenit game.
He said: “Christian did not train with us. N’Golo had two sessions yesterday and today but CL game comes too early for him.”
