Fate/Stay Night (2006)
To be honest, the first two series can be interchanged with which one you choose to see first and they both have their advantages. Fate/Stay Night was the first to be released, so if you want to watch it before you watch Fate/Zero, then you can do that as you will still enjoy it all the same.
Fate/Stay Night was released in 2006 and its story is a solid one that has its visuals really engaging. Though it does not reach the heights of the first one we chose on the list.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works(2010. 2014-2015)
Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works is both a movie and a series so you have a choice to make here. The movie and series both tell the same story but in very different timeframes.
If asked to choose between the series and movie, the series will be the superior choice without question here and if you want to see as much of the Fate world as possible then you need to go for this.
But if you just want the basics of the story and do not mind how rushed it feels, you can get it done in two hours.
